Abstract: 

The preparation of polymers through ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) with highly tactic structures has been a longstanding challenge in the field. These stereoregular polymers are valued because their properties are well-defined and potentially tunable relative to atactic analogues. This presentation will highlight some of our recent efforts to generate tactic polymers using high oxidation state alkylidene complexes using earth abundant metals.
